Requirements
Any non-EU citizen may qualify for the Gold Visa programme provided they make one of these types of investments:
1. Capital transfer of at least
EUR 1.5 million;
2. Capital transfer of at least EUR 500,000, for the purpose of scientific research and development;
3. Capital transfer of
EUR 250,000 to support artistic creation or the restoration/maintenance of national cultural heritage;
4. Capital transfer of at least EUR 500,000, for the purpose of acquiring shares in investment funds dedicated to the capitalisation of companies;
5. Capital transfer of at least EUR 500,000, for the incorporation of a company whose main office is located in Portuguese territory, combined with the creation of five jobs;
6. Creation of at least ten jobs;
7. Property purchase from
280 000€.
One of the options that has attracted greater interest from foreign investors is real estate investment.
For this specific case there are new rules,
